We have several nature educator positions to fill in two locations -- the Battery (downtown) and Central Park. This is a unique position where you will have the chance to experience education from another perspective, outside the walls of the classroom, and see the impact learning outdoors has on children! Candidates must have an appreciation for nature and willingness to explore and teach in an entirely outdoor setting.

Our Spring season begins March 18 and ending the third week of June 2019.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or AA in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

  • Experience with Reggio Emilia, HighScope, Waldorf, Montessori, or another early childhood education philosophy preferred.

  • Required minimum of two years teaching experience pre-school or school age children.

  • Energetic, dedicated & able to become involved in all aspects of the program.

  • Strong love of nature and ability to teach class entirely outside is required.

  • Strong commitment to educate children and eagerness to learn.

  • Special skills (music, singing, storytelling) helpful.

  • Must be First Aid and CPR certified, wilderness first aid a plus.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced and enthusiastic sales professionals to help us develop our relationships with New York City public and private schools. Territory includes downtown and upper and east and west sides, and potentially Brooklyn.

Qualifications and Skills

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following: 

  • Develop relationships with targeted list of public and private schools in NYC.

  • Be personable.

  • Meet or exceed targeted sales goals

  • Travel to schools as necessary and continue daily to build and deepen relationships.

  • Utilize any and all marketing tools such as digital email campaigns, social media, and traditional marketing strategies.

  • Respond to calls and inquiries promptly.

  • Open accounts with new schools.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving

Job Type: Part Time

Compensation: Commission and business expenses. Potentially to earn $2000/month or more.
